This Privacy Policy (“Policy”) explains how Aim4Price (“Aim4Price”, “we”, “our”, “us”) collects, uses, stores, and protects personal information in compliance with the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA) of South Africa and, where applicable, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

By requesting a valuation or otherwise using Aim4Price, you automatically consent to the collection and processing of your personal information as described in this Policy. If you do not agree, you must not use the platform.

When you use Aim4Price, we may collect the following:

  1. Directly from the User:

    • Name (required)

    • Contact number (required)

  2. Automatically collected:

    • Device details, browser type, IP address, and usage patterns (for analytics and security).

In compliance with POPIA and GDPR, Aim4Price processes personal information on the following lawful grounds:

  • Consent: By submitting details for a valuation, you consent to collection and processing.

  • Contractual necessity: To provide you with valuation services.

  • Legitimate interest: To improve accuracy, maintain historical records, and secure our systems.

  • Legal compliance: When disclosure is required by law or regulation.

3. Responsibility for Accuracy

3.1 Users are solely responsible for providing correct and accurate personal information.

3.2 Aim4Price is not liable for any errors, miscommunications, or negative consequences arising from incorrect, incomplete, or false data submitted.

We use personal information strictly for:

  • Generating tractor valuations.

  • Maintaining records for future valuations (e.g., year-on-year comparisons).

  • Ensuring system functionality, accuracy, and security.

  • Compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

We do not use your data for advertising, resale, or unrelated marketing.

5. Storage, Security & Safeguards

5.1 Personal information is stored securely using reasonable technical and organizational safeguards against unauthorized access, alteration, or disclosure.

5.2 While Aim4Price takes strong precautions, no system is immune from security risks, and we cannot guarantee absolute protection against cyber threats.

6. Data Sharing & Business Transfers

6.1 We do not sell, trade, or rent User data.

6.2 Personal information may only be disclosed:

  • To comply with legal obligations, court orders, or regulatory requirements;

  • To protect Aim4Price’s intellectual property, systems, or legal rights;

  • To third-party service providers strictly necessary for analytics, hosting, or IT support (under confidentiality obligations).

6.3 If Aim4Price is sold, merged, or acquired, all User data will form part of the transferred assets and may be shared with the acquiring entity, subject to continued protection under this Policy.

7.1 Personal data will be retained only for as long as necessary to:

  • Fulfil the valuation request, and

  • Maintain historical valuation records for follow-up services.

7.2 Users may request deletion of their data at any time, unless retention is required by law.

Aim4Price uses cookies and third-party analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics) to collect anonymous usage data. Cookies do not store personal identifiers. You may disable cookies in your browser settings, though some functionality may be affected.

Under POPIA and GDPR, Users have the right to:

  • Access: Request a copy of personal data we hold.

  • Correction: Request rectification of incorrect or incomplete data.

  • Deletion: Request erasure of data (“right to be forgotten”), subject to legal obligations.

  • Objection/Restriction: Object to or restrict processing under certain circumstances.

  • Data Portability (GDPR only): Request transfer of your personal data to another service provider.

  • Withdraw Consent: Withdraw consent at any time, which may limit use of the platform.

Requests must be submitted in writing (see Section 11).

If User data is processed outside South Africa (e.g., through hosting or analytics providers), Aim4Price ensures that adequate protection is in place consistent with POPIA and GDPR requirements.

Binding Consent Clause

By submitting personal information to Aim4Price for the purpose of obtaining a valuation, the User expressly consents to the collection, processing, and retention of such information as outlined in this Privacy Policy. Submission of false or inaccurate data is at the User’s sole risk, and Aim4Price accepts no liability for any resulting consequences.
